SharePoint Fest DC at a Glance
SharePoint Fest DC will take place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The 5-day schedule will be as follows:

Attendees can connect to the free convention center WiFi. No password is required.
Workshops and Sessions
You do not have to pre-register for workshops or sessions. Simply attend whatever you’d like. If you indicated you were interested in a workshop during the registration process, that was simply to give us an idea of the anticipated attendance. You are not required to attend what you selected during this time.
Sessions are organized into discipline-specific tracks. There are multiple tracks running simultaneously during each day of the conference. Choose one complete learning track or mix and match based on what content best meets you and your organization’s current needs!
Morning refreshments and lunch will be served on each day of the conference. On Wednesday evening, food and beverage will be provided during the networking reception. In addition, there will be coffee breaks in the morning and refreshments provided in the afternoon except on Friday asthere will be an extended lunch break. Please refer to the agenda for further details.
General Conference Tips
As with any conference, you’ll want to bring the basics: comfortable shoes as you are likely going to be walking a lot, business cards, a notepad or laptop, and an eagerness to network, learn, and enjoy yourself.Regarding your attire, business casual is appropriate for this type of event.
Upon your arrival at the event, please check-in at the registration desk to receive your conference badge and conference bag. Check-in is only required once. If you have your badge, you do not need to check-in again. Your badge is also your ticket to the networking reception on Wednesday evening (applies to only passes that include Wednesday sessions).
We have a ribbon table that will be in the expo hall Wednesday – Friday in which you can decorate your badge with fun ribbons (the state you’re from, new to SharePoint, alumni, etc.).
When it comes to networking and making new friends, we encourage you to mingle with other attendees when you’re not in sessions! You never know who you’ll meet or what kind of connections you could make.
Each attendee will have a conference passport in their conference bag that they will pick up at the registration desk upon arrival. Attendees will visit participating sponsor booths in the expo hall and get their passport signed off. We highly recommend that you get all sponsor boxes signed off as this is how you are eligible to win a sponsor’s prize. For example, if we are calling the winner for a specific sponsor’s prize and you did not get a signature from them, you would not be eligible for their prize and your passport would be placed back in the box. If for some reason you did not receive a passport in your conference bag, please stop by the registration desk and we will give you one.
The networking reception will take place in the expo hall on Wednesday evening from 5:30 – 7 pm. Be sure to utilize this time and network with other attendees! We will have live music, open bars, and a variety of food. We will also have experts at our Ask the Experts booth. Please feel free to stop by and ask them any questions you may have! This would also be a great time to get your passport signed off by our participating sponsors.
Be sure to download the SharePoint Fest app on your smartphone prior to attending the conference. You will receive an email from DoubleDutch that prompts you to download the app. You can also search ‘SharePoint Fest’ in the app store. Be sure to use the email you registered for the event with. If you have any issues with the app, please feel free to stop by the registration desk and we can assist you. Within the conference app, you can find important conference information such as the agenda, speaker information, sponsor information, etc. One cool feature of the app is that you can build out your own agenda (which is a huge time saver)! We also have channels within that app that you can join based on your interests, a knowledge share section where you can ask questions, and much more! Be sure to explore the app to discover all the other cool features.
1:1 Meetings / Office Hours
In the app, attendees will be able to schedule meetings with speakers by going to the profile of the speaker they would like to meet with. From that speaker’s profile, they can start a meeting request by selecting 'Request Meeting'. The speaker will then receive an e-mail with the details of the meeting. From this e-mail, they can accept or decline. Under the “Meetings” section of the app, you can view all your scheduled, pending, and declined meetings. You can also view your meetings in the “Agenda” section. The same concept applies to scheduling a meeting with other attendees.
Ask the Experts
We will have an Ask the Experts booth set up in the expo hall Wednesday – Friday during specific times in which speakers will be available to answer questions from our attendees.Please refer to the event program for further details.

Fill out workshop and session surveys in the app for the chance to win awesome prizes! Each completed survey that is submitted is a chance to win. Simply find the workshop or session in the agenda that you'd like to fill out a survey for and click on 'Take Survey' at the bottom. Winners will be announced on Friday during our closing Ask Microsoft Anything session.
Slide decks for our conference sessions will be provided via a OneDrive link to the attendees.
Please note that workshops are not required to be submitted by speakers.

As mentioned above, published posts that include an image and the event hashtag will automatically enter you into the photo contest.
